All programs at BMI are designed keeping in mind the BACB guidelines for effective intervention. The BCBA led programs and intensity are the two key factors considered for designing all our programs. At our centers all of our 1:1 programmes are developed by skilled and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst's (BCBA).

Each student has a highly individualized IEP which addresses the student's complex communication, play, language, social and behavior management needs. We utilize only the most recent, scientifically-proven methods and our team of para professional trainers, implement each students Individual Education Plan (IEP), In addition all caregivers (mother, father, grandparents, and siblings) are invited to observe sessions and meet with the Center Head on a pre-fixed schedule in order to review their child's progress.

Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) (25 hrs / week) IBI

For our very young learners, (ages 1.5 to 4 years old), we at BMI provide an individualized intervention which initially focuses on teaching communication and learning readiness skills such as; attention, imitation and co-operation. Once a child has developed these skills, our intervention goals expand to include joint attention, play, visual performance tasks, receptive and expressive language development,

the social use of language, social interaction skills, self care and academic readiness. All teaching is one student to one teacher. Initially we use an interactive, play-based teaching approach, creating opportunities for each child to learn communication and new skills in the natural environment (NET). Once a positive learning environment is established then a more structured table top approach is included which allows for the systematic teaching of more complex skills.

Decades of empirical research show that early intervention that is based upon evidenced-based practice is most effective. Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, we design intervention programs that are grounded in this research and that avail of the many tried and tested autism-specific strategies.

Intensive Behavioral Intervention (25 hrs / week) IBI

This program is designed for students anywhere between the ages of 5 – 16. The program is tailored to the exact needs of each child and their Individual Education Plan addresses all areas of development such as communication, language comprehension, academics, self help, play and pre-requisites to vocational skills to name a few.

This program can assist children of all levels of ability from those who need to learn basic self care skills such as dressing and brushing their teeth, learn to cook, write their own name to those who can learn to write compositions. In addition it is often the case that by this age challenging behaviors have emerged which impede the students learning and ability to participate in society. Any program would be designed to replace these behaviors with appropriate alternatives and reduce these behaviors to a level in which they do not affect the child's learning.

Learners' needs will be developed through both structured table top (Discrete Trial Teaching) and Natural Environment Teaching. The intervention is implemented across settings, with both center and community based goals.

Intensive Language Programme (10 hrs / week) ILP

This programme is designed for children between ages 1.5 and 16 who need specific intervention in language development. In the 2 hour language program the Individual Education Plan (IEP) will focus on building communication, language comprehension, conversation skills etc.

Intervention Support Program ( Hourly ) ISP

The intervention support program at BMI runs mainly post work hours and are meant for parents, who are not able to get a seat in BMI's main programs and are looking for hourly interventions. The program is run for a minimum of 12 hours / month. This covers many of the learning areas, which need to be focused upon as per the assessment findings.
